Meet Our Governors

 CHAIRPERSON

Jill Wilson

Jill is our brand new Chair of Governors. She is a co-opted Governor and is on both of our committees.

"I have been involved in education all my working life from my early years of teaching English and PE in secondary schools in Hertfordshire to becoming a Deputy Head and then Headteacher in West Sussex. During my teaching career in the secondary phase, I enjoyed all aspects of school
life including running clubs and sports teams, involvement with drama and music productions, organising trips both home and abroad, and participating in fund raising events with parents. After retirement from headship, I was invited to be a Local Authority governor and I also continued to work with teachers and schools on an occasional consultancy and training basis. Having worked extensively with 'big children', I have particularly enjoyed extending my knowledge of primary school education through my work as a governor. I am interested in the importance of the arts
subjects in schools and I also enjoy watching sports."
